PICTURES: Legendary Titanic ship modeled in matchstick

Titanic_masterpiece.jpg After hardwork of 3500 hours and almost 15 years after starting Tim Elkins has finally finished building a scale model of the Titanic made out of 147,000 matchsticks. He spent around $180 building this model that will be displayed at a new museum in Piccadilly Circus, London.

"The model is eight-foot by 39-inches and has 1,600 portholes and Tim even used lettering 5mm tall on the name plate by cutting matchsticks into sixteenths."
